Ahh... The morning time. It's such a time of peace and relaxation. As I sit here in McDonalds drinking my large sweet tea, I'm not only writing this blog, but thanking God for the morning... for the sunrise... for a fresh start. Could you imagine if life was one big day? The Sun was always up and you never experience dusk, or even worse, what if we were in a perpetual night time and never experienced the dawn? This is why I am so glad that God is God! I believe that God created everything with meaning and every morning we should make a conscious decision to make this day better than yesterday. Now I'm no spiritual weather man but everyday of my life I believe things are going to get better. My situation might look like crap (excuse my language but allow me to be myself), but it's only going to make me better in the future... I declare that today is my dawn, today is my fresh start.
Most of us at some point in our lives have made a New Years Resolution, some of us even make lists of them. What we want to change, things we want to accomplish, how we want to present ourselves. All the changes we want to make leading into a new year.
I love that picture of a heart, but it's very deceiving.. The image that we have of a heart is one that our culture has told us is very pure. People are always commanding that we follow our hearts, but ask yourself, "What's in my heart?" A theme in this generation is that our hearts are filled with lust, envy, hatred, anger. But is their away we can change that? Last night me and Dennis were having an interesting conversation about the evolution of a believer. We both agreed that the life of a believer should be one full of progress, although it is one full of failure also.
In solitude, in quiet
restless I'm stirring mind is racing of her Elegant magnificent My best friend, my partner my lover This is a super powerful generation of people. People want something that's real, something that is authentic. I've heard it said over and over that this is the generation of people that want to see God in action, not merely talk about Him. This is a generation that will not settle for some image or perception of who God is, they want to know the very presence of God.
